Pop-Up Presentations

I work for a company who often give presentations and send them out by e-mail to customers.

On some websites I have seen a facility whereby you can click on an icon and a powerpoint presentation -pops up' and runs automatically.

I want to know if we can do this so that when we attach presentations to e-mails the presentation will run automatically on opening instead of opening the Powerpoint presentation within the programme.

I could do with a quick answer on this as my MD is very keen to do this. So anyone with an answer please feel free to contact me on[email protected]

Thanks!

Emma,

What the websites are most likely doing is saving their PowerPoint file as a PowerPoint show (.pps). When the person clicks on the link, the file automatically plays. {To create a PowerPoint show, choose "Save As" from the file menu and save as a .pps when you have your presentation loaded into PowerPoint.}

For an email, you should be able to do the same thing. Write your email, then attach your presentation to the email as a PowerPoint show (.pps) file, and it should automatically open when the recipient clicks the link.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any problems.
